Amanda has been a licensed Auctioneer for over a decade. At the age of 18 Amanda's father sent her to Mendenhall's School of Auctioneering to learn a trade that would support her through her acting career. Growing up around antique auctions, Amanda has always been a part of the family business in Kingsport, Tennessee. Her father Steve and stepmother Linda have owned and operated OLDE TYME AUCTION INC. for over 15 years. Amanda specializes in antiques, but benefit auctions are her calling. Amanda has helped raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Finland Event Center, CockEyed Optimists Theatre Company, and Theatre Research Ensemble. Arctic Jungle Fashion Gala 2010
Arctic Jungle Fashion Gala on Sept 29, 2010 attracted nearly 200 people and was a resounding success! Amanda sold nearly $15,000.00 of designer dresses to help the Finland Event Center raise money to benefit Panzi Hospital in the Congo. These funds will go to help African women who have been physically and sexually abused. Amanda auctioned dresses by Nicole Miller, Izzy Miyake, & Anna Sui to name a few.
